Here at Accessible Beaches New Zealand, we aim to assist communities to make beaches and ultimately all water ways in New Zealand accessible for all. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to visit the beach, the lake or river and to take a dip in the water or sit on the shore, so with your help, we can make this happen.
Feature - Waihi Beach
ACCESSIBLE BEACH UPDATE:
Waihi Beach is accessible! The beach matting is rolled out for the summer so make your way to Waihi Beach and spend some time enjoying this amazing place. The matting is at the north end of the beach by the surf club. There is also accessible parking and bathroom facilities available.
The matting was rolled out with a small ceremony on the 10th of October 2021 on a lovely sunny afternoon with those who contributed to this wonderful community venture to make Waihi Beach more accessible and inclusive
